We’re proud to announce that our newest cannabis cup competition will be uniting the many unique products in Massachusetts! There are many great products available in Massachusetts, which is why the state has a flourishing cannabis industry.

Products can be submitted for consideration at NETA dispensaries in Franklin, MA. between September 7-9. The kits will go on sale starting September 24, with first come, first served availability. You have up to November 13 for judges to go through and examine all Massachusetts’ cannabis businesses. The cup winners will then be revealed on November 27 via a digital awards program.

Massachusetts Cannabis Cup Entry categories:

1. Indica Flower (28 total slots available; 2 entries Max per Company) 
2. Sativa flower (28 slots total; maximum 2 entries per company)  
3. Hybrid Flower: 28 slots; max 2 entries for each company 
4. Pre-Rolls (nine slots total; maximum of one entry per company) 
5. Concentrates (10 total slots available; 1  entries Max per Company) 
6. Distillate Vape Pens & Cartridges (10  total slots available; 1 entries Max per Company) 
7. NON-Distillate Vape Pens & Cartridges (10  total slots available; 1 entries Max per Company) 
8. Sativa Gummies (10) total slots, 50mg THC maximum; one entry max per Company
9. Edibles – Indica Gummies (ten total slots; maximum of 50mg THC per slot; one entry max per Company).
10. Edibles: Chocolate Nongummies (ten total slots with 50mg THC maximum; one entry max per company)
11. Edibles – Fruity Non Gummies (total slots: 50mg maximum THC, 1 entry max per Company)
12. Edibles – Beverages (ten total slots, 50mg maximum THC limit; one entry max per Company).
13. Topicals + Tinctures + Capsules (10 total slots available; 1 entries Max per Company)

Once the judges have submitted their feedback, we’ll announce the first place winners that have earned themselves the renowned Chronic News Cannabis Cup trophy—an honorable award that proves that their product rises above the rest of the competition.

The trophy, which was designed by Alex and Allyson Grey, is made of zinc and 24K gold plating. A full-page advertisement will be published for the first place winners. Chronic News magazine, a complete report of the competition scores and comment feedback, winner decals to place on your product packaging, a mention in our online article featuring the winners of the Chronic News Cannabis Cup Massachusetts: People’s Choice Edition 2022 (as well as being recorded as a winner on cannabiscup.com) and of course, inclusion of the winning brands for each category on Chronic News social media channels (shared on the Chronic NewsTimeline, story, and highlights of story

The second place winners receive a pewter silver medal and a sterling ribbon inscribed with the winning category. Chronic News magazine, second place art assets for product packaging (along with all of the aforementioned judge’s report, and inclusion of the win online and on social media).

The bronze medal will be awarded to the third place winner. It is made of bronze and pewter plating. Chronic News magazine as well.

The products can still win even if they don’t win the first, second or third places in their categories. In order to promote Massachusetts cannabis companies, all brands and products will have their names and tags included on social media. Our Awards Show also includes a shoutout to thank competitors who participated in our competition. The best part is that the Chronic News Report can be obtained upon request. It contains information about the product’s evaluations by the judges and its ranking in our scoring system.

CCC licenses all products. CCC cannot take caregiver products.
